The brief was blunt: a new five-year strategy, 1,200 managers from 40 countries and three days to make it stick. Slide decks had been tried. The client wanted something people would still be talking about a month later.
The idea
We treated the strategy like a season of television. Each day was an episode with its own cliffhanger, and every keynote handed over to the next with a short film, a live demo or a guest from the front line of the business.
The build
A converted warehouse on the river became a 270-degree room, with LED wrapping the audience on three sides so the story literally surrounded them. Breakout spaces were themed around the five pillars of the plan, and one event app carried live polls, translation and the agenda.
On the day
Our show-callers ran every cue across three days without an overrun. By the closing session, the room was finishing the CEO's sentences.
