Twelve award categories, one evening, and a guest list that had sat through a lot of long award shows. The client wanted the night to celebrate people, not schedules.
The idea
We wrote the gala like a broadcast and hosted it like a dinner party. Short award segments landed between courses, each introduced by a 40-second film about the winners and their work, so the room cheered for stories instead of names.
The details
Trophies were designed in-house, the room was dressed in deep blues and soft pinks, and a surprise headline act closed the night. The show ran twelve minutes shorter than the year before, and nobody wanted to go home.
